about us

what we do

Based in Vienna, Deep Blue Connection combines guided breathwork with freediving practice to support nervous system regulation, presence and mental resilience. Through breath, water and focused attention, participants learn how to stay calm, aware and grounded, even when pressure increases.

Our experiences range from multi-day ocean retreats to shorter in-person and online formats. Each one is designed as practical presence training: embodied, structured, and grounded in theory as well as real experiences.

In short, we work with breath and water to help people build depth that translates into their everyday lives.

what we believe

In a world shaped by constant stimulation and mental overload, many people feel disconnected from their bodies and their breath and from the people around them. Though it might feel counterintuitive at first: real clarity and calm don’t come from switching off, but from leaning into intensity rather than resisting it.

We believe that staying present is a skill that can be trained – through practice, embodiment, and conscious surrender.

When you learn calm in water, you learn calm in life.” - Jan Koller

what we know

In environments like freediving, embodied presence and situational awareness are not optional — they are essential. We take this responsibility seriously in how we design and guide our experiences.

Our work draws on current research in respiratory physiology and stress science. Breath, pressure and attention are direct inputs to the human nervous system. When these mechanisms are trained intentionally, the body becomes better at staying calm, focused and responsive under pressure.

As the science continues to evolve, so does our work.
